The Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas, opened in 1929 lavishing guests with high style and mineral water claiming to have amazing healing powers. Presidents, the social elite and celebrities including Greta Garbo and Marilyn Monroe graced the floors of this grand hotel. The Baker closed in the early 1970's leaving many memories echoing in the halls... but that's only the surface. Some say, the souls of the past are still very much there. Awards include: The National Press Photographers Association - 1st Place Feature Photography and Dallas Press Club Feature Portfolio. |
